They offered the precious gifts they carried—gold, frankincense, and myrrh—to the child who would one day bring love and healing to the world. This moment became the earliest exchange of arts and gifts between East and West—a symbol of compassion, blessing, and the passing on of love.
During the pandemic, Healing Art Shiny Star wove together many years of Taiwan–Dallas artist- in-residence experiences with new Zoom lecture series shared across the U.S. and Canada. We launched with B Dance, bringing Taiwan to the world and the world back to Taiwan.
We also featured Master Sun Hui-Juan’s dance-theater appreciation lectures, guiding audiences through classic works such as:
• Alice in Wonderland • Zorba the Greek • Snow White • and many more masterpieces.
In October, we interviewed Taiwanese autism-art educator Grace Chen, who shared her 25 years of experience: five-sense learning, therapeutic massage, deep-travel experiential lessons, and other methods that help soothe and slow the progression of brain degeneration in individuals with autism. Her dedication deeply moved Mr. Warren Dai, a Chicago banker who had never met her before. He donated her airfare and encouraged broader sharing of her work throughout the U.S. and Canada. Right then and there, Mr. Dai sponsored both the Shiny Star Education Center and Grace Chen to bring an exhibition of her students’ artworks to Dallas—and from this, the Shiny Star BonBon Art Exhibition was born. Through 2023-2025, BonArt continued to bloom—across UT Dallas, Harvard University, and beyond—accompanied by more than 400 videos of lectures, life stories, and artistic journeys on YouTube. We invite you to join us as we continue passing on love, healing, and creativity.

Taiwan Autistic Artist association was founded in 2015 by Grace Chen. The association is dedicated to inspiring and empowering individuals on the autism spectrum through the integration of education, travel, and the arts. As both the mother of a child with autism and a special education professional with 25 years of experience, Ms. Chen has long used art as a catalyst for change—helping students build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and open up broader possibilities in life.
TAAA brings together outstanding artists including individuals with Down syndrome and Asperger’s syndrome. The association’s core mission is to guide people with autism out of isolation and toward active participation in their communities and society at large. Ms. Chen introduced the philosophy of “Additive Education,” which combines travel, art, and social engagement to stimulate the potential of star children, paving pathways for learning, personal growth, higher education, and career development.
Building Bridges of Creativity :
She developed the innovative concept of Additive Education, incorporating artistic creation, thematic learning, outdoor performances, and community interaction to create immersive, multi-sensory learning experiences. She personally leads students to places such as Yilan, Wulai, and Tamsui in northern Taiwan, where they engage in creative exchanges with local elders. Through these experiences, children once labeled as “hopeless” gradually transform into shining star children, discovering their voices and their place in the world.

3/30-31為期2天, 這是2024第二屆的亞美藝術交流展第一場，在美國哈佛漂亮登場，達拉斯Shiny 老師與陳穎君老師跟T A A A的團長陳奕宏，特地飛來波士頓哈佛大學，總共展出30幅星兒畫作，同時將穎君老師多年來星兒的研究與成果，藉此機會做一些學術交流. 台灣星奇兒創藝協會此次應哈佛大學公共衛生研究所邀請，3月30、31這兩日，在哈佛大學愛默生廳 (Emerson Hall) ，以30幅自閉症患者畫作，工作坊講座， 自閉症可以用按摩，學習新事務，唱歌、說故事等等示範表演，帶人們關注、認識自閉症的治療有新的嘗試。未來老齡化的社會也可以樂齡生活，一起五感深度旅遊日日有新的生命體驗分享。

– The Exhibition of art pieces painted by students of Taiwan Autistic Artists Association and Taiwan Morden Art Artist Wang Yi-Spring. To share more Verity Arts in Richardson community.
– In addition to an exhibition of 25 paintings from eight artists, Chen Grace will speak on working with artists on the spectrum. She will discuss using hearing, touch, sight, taste and smell to enhance creativity as well as present a brief workshop on using hand massage to improve brain function and prevent brain shrinkage.
– FolkSongs Concert & Mika Taiwan opera Demo, Dr. Hwang’s 500 Stories, Tea Party for Music, Poetry & Arts all meet together Bloom @UTD Campus and Harvard Campus.
